In a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community, all members have equal access and opportunity and are valued as their whole selves. That's the vision for Caltech, and we're making progress toward it.

President's Diversity Council

The President's Diversity Council is an advisory faculty committee, established and charged by the president to support, advise, and provide recommendations for campuswide efforts in diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. The council may implement and proceed with goals advanced by the faculty chair, as well as review and advise on new policies proposed by the assistant vice president for diversity, equity, inclusion, and assessment and other administrative units and leaders.

The council was formed in 2007. Members meet monthly; approved minutes from its deliberations are posted for transparency and community education purposes.

For more on the council history and purpose, read the President's Diversity Council charter.
